Daggerdale, yes, the abortion of a 4e video game. It didn't actually follow the ruleset to any meaningful degree, so it doesn't really count. I was one of the unfortunate few to actually spend money on that garbage.
Random thing I saw on Facebook wrote:Just make sure to compare your results from Weapon Bracket Table and Elevator Load Composition (Dragon Magazine #12) to the Perfunctory Armor Glossary, Version 3.8 (Races of Minneapolis, pp. 183). Then use your result as input to the "DM Says Screw You" equation.

There's a Facebook game that's fairly faithful to the 4E rules. I.e., it sucks.

I'd like to see Disgaea adapt things like OA's or 'defender auras'
unless they already have, haven't played the latest ones

Tactics Ogre on the PSP has adapted a defender aura of sorts though, where if you move adjacent to a knight your movement is halted, so they can actually blockadude from walking past and stabbing your wizard ... but it's not very important 'cause archers kill everything

Sort of. I can't speak for "Disgaea D2", but of Disgaea 4:
AoOs are not really in: you have your combo-attacks and counter-attacks, but not "You moved through here, so eat an attack!" They do, however have an Opportunist thing (that you can elect to give people), where if an enemy is in your threatened square and an ally hits them, you get a free attack (not part of the adjacency-based team attack thing). Yes, it triggers multiple times per turn. Yes, archers rule at this. No, it's not that relevant when you get to the "OHKO Bullet Hell" stage. Some people literally never discovered it, because every attack was a one-shot.

Auras are totally in. In three different varieties:
[*]The Cam-Pain Map. Place an Evil Office or something there, and everyone covered by it gains certain benefits when they're in combat or whatever. This is basically equivalent to the Clubs introduced in D3.
[*]The Cam-Pain Map again. Some classes just give outright bonuses to adjacent people on the Cam-Pain Map, without needing to be adjacent in battle. In D&D this would be like having a Feat that gives a constant benefit to "the four people you value most" or whatever.
[*]Evilties: you can get innate abilities like "allies that are in adjacent squares get +50% elemental damage resistance" or "allies in adjacent squares also remove any status effects when healed for HP" or "allies in adjacent squares do more damage". Or my favourite one, for combat monster Desco, "you gain a stacking +20% damage boost for every adjacent ally".
